MY DREAM...

One of my dreams of my life is to graduate from college. I just can't to graduate from high school, so that i can get to college and get my bachelors degree in education. I want to become a teacher!! A certified teacher..because I want to be the first from my family to graduate from college. I want my parents to be proud of me from graduating from college, because none of my siblings graduated from college. Except my sister had to come home from college because of our grandma, she was getting sick, thats why she came home.
So I want my dream to come true!!! Pray for me so that I can try my best!!! :)

A visitor...

We have a visitor this past week, his one of the Pamyua members. He came back to dance with us. He has taught us their Pamyua songs, and how to sing some of them. We had so much fun! Wish he could stay longer than a week so that we can learn to sing, and not just to dance. But it was fun!
Steve brought his daughter, she is so cute and she is so funny. When he and his daughter first came, he kept making us laugh. She seemed to be quiet, but she was like her father, really funny. She comes to the room to hang with us, while her dad is in the gym singing and teaching the students how to dance.
It was so much fun when they were visiting here. Hope you two come back so that we can dance again! Also that you two had a good time here in Kasigluk- Akiuk.

I WISH...

I wish that this village would stop drinking, because the people that drink are showing our younger siblings, their kids, and other kids to drink. They have minds and eyes that can see and remember things, they have brains and memories like each and every one of us. Why do we need to let them see adults to drink. If others don't want their kids or other kids in the village to drink, why drink in front of them? Just stop drinking and show that they love their kids and other kids. Didn't God say to LOVE ONE ANOTHER? Love your kids as thy neighbor...STOP DRINKING AND SET GOALS FOR YOUR CHILDREN AND OTHERS TO HAVE GOOD FUTURE. Thanks!!

Timberline..

My high skewl went on a trip, we went to Timberline, we got wood!! I had so much fun!! We left with five snowmachines, two freight sleds, and three sleds. Five adults, and nine high skewlerz. That trip was a blast! My first time going, and the weather going to Timberline was so cold! We were facing the wind while we were going. But going home was warmer because we weren't facing the wind. :) It was so much fun!! We hardly took pictures, but we all have so much memories!! The wost part was....when we were going, we had this gas tank by us girls..snow was coming on us, but it wasnt worse or anything...MY BUTT GOT WET!!! It was so funny! Because I told my teacher to bring me home..funny! We were half way there, and it was so crazy! My friends back got wet too! Poor!! But we all made it home dry:)) Ohk thats enough about my trip...I will always remember what happened!:)

*!*advise*!*

An advise that my grandpa told me was that to love one another. It is important to love one another, because you want to be loved too.  So be careful what you do to others, because that will show that you love them, and they will love you too. I love everybody so that I can be loved too. So who ever is reading this that means they are loved by me. So love one another as you should be loved too.

Russian Orthodox Christmas

House to house Christmas. Thats the way Russian Orthodox Christmas is spent for the whole isolated, small villages. That is called Slaaviq. Every year Slaaviq begins January 7, and lasts about a whole long trick-or-treating week. Because every house they give out candy. Most houses are Russian Orthodox Christians.
Every single day on the seventh the first house is Fr.'s house. Two starts and the two flags enter to sing. They sing joyful, wonderful songs! Oh how wonderful they sing, the singers sing for thirty minutes straight. Than the sisterhood and Mother is always there to help with the food, and the dishes. They feed the people and pass out candy or stuff. After everybody gets all packed with food and snack, the star and the flag goes out first, and than now every body goes out to wait. That is where the star and the flag gets separated. One is called the 'old Kasigluk' and the other one is called 'Akula'.
Most days are the longest days because they quit slaaviqing after tweleve P.M. This year the latest was four A.M. That is the quiting time of the day of slaaviq. HAPPY SLAAVIQ EVERYBODY!!

SPORTZ

I am a Jr in the high school. I have eight classes from 8:45am to 4:30pm. That is how long I am at school before I go home. But having to join sports I go home around 7-8pm. I am use to being in school late, but I hate to go home hungry. But I love to join sports. Just like I said at the top, I like to join sports. I joined cross country, volleyball, now it is basketball season! ohh yea!! haha..I was thinking of not joining any sports except basketball. But our school finally had a volleyball team, so I thought I'd join it for the first time. WE MADE IT ALL THE WAY TO CHAMPIONSHIP!!! WE GOT SECOND PLACE TOO!! Our first year of having a team, and we got second. HOW AMAZING! I guess this is already about my sports and my school.
